The Fairness Doctrine, Fair to Whom?

I received an email from a fellow blogger about the Congressional vote on the Fairness Doctrine and how an open vote in Senate refused to support the doctrine 87-11, but as Paul Harvey used to say, “now here is the rest of the story.” So behind closed doors Dick Durban attempts to slide into the back door, known as a rider, "take actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership," if passed this could effectively end free speech for certain radio stations, and of course bloggers. We would be made to give equal time on a subject to both the Christian point of view, and other religions and non-religions. Topics that may not be supportive of the biblical point of view, on marriage, pro-life issues etc. Why should a listener supported Conservative radio station have to tell the others sides point of view, if I wanted to hear K-Love give me the secular point on a subject I would listen to a secular radio station.
The other problem seems to be that as bloggers and conservative Christians we are getting information to quick out on the net, leaving the deceptive ones to have to scramble to defend themselves. In other words we are telling it like it is, and getting it to the public to fast for them to hide what they are doing. Thus they want the FCC to be able to monitor what bloggers are saying on the net. They want us to give equal time to the opposite point of view, well the way I see it if they want the opposite point of view out there they need to find, or create bloggers who have the opposite point of view. I am in no way going to support, or publish anything I do not agree with, that is the point of free speech.
For too long the AFLCIOU has been able to dictate to Christian believers where they can pray, when they can pray, and for that matter what constitutes a prayer. If they can hide behind separation of Church and State, then I should be allowed the same defense. We cannot allow them to stop the Christian writers from publishing what they want on the internet. I am not intruding into their homes, if they do not like what I say they simply have the right to hit the “X” symbol, and turn me off. I am not intruding into their kids lives in school again they do not have to read what I have to say.
The point is Congress and the rest of the political machine wants to censor what we as Christian writers are telling the voting public about what they are doing. They want to be able to monitor and block our points of view. Sounds to me like Satin is getting a little afraid of God’s word being disseminated out on the internet causing more people to believe in God, he is worried about losing souls to God, so maybe we are doing a good job. Keep up the good work, and get the Good News of the gospel out to the people who need it. Until next time this is Nadine signing off.

The President verses God!

During the election of the President in 2008 I watched each candidate carefully to determine who I would vote for, I will be the first to admit I usually fall on the conservative Republican side of the scale, but I have been known once or twice to swing left center and vote Democrat, this was one of those years when I was not sure I liked either candidate. So I watched the Debates, and Town hall meetings on occasion, and a documentary that was done on each Candidate by one of the News programs. It seemed no matter what he said I did not like, and could not get a good feeling inside for now President Barack Obama.
One thing that bothered me about him was his public resignation from his church, I understand it was controversial, but it was I am quite sure the same before he ran for President. So his resignation makes one think the Presidency was more important in his life then his God is, and I seem to remember God saying to the Israelites, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3, NKJV). I have to admit I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach even before he ditched his church. He is a very good orator, he can sit down, and speak with the public without ever seeming to need, or look at his notes. The thing that bothered me more than anything was no matter what the problem was he had an answer for it. He was going to change everything, or fix it, whatever you want to say. My problem is I am intelligent enough to know a man cannot fix the problems we are facing in today’s society, and anyone arrogant enough to claim he could was not going to get my vote.
So let us go from the election to today, have you seen him fix everything he said he was going to fix. The economy is not getting much better. If you think his infusion of money into these money hungry companies is working, think about it this way, you can print as much money as you want, but when you have no gold to back it up it is not worth the paper it is printed on. Millions of Americans are still being displaced from their homes daily due to their inability to pay their mortgages. If I did not live in a family owned home, I would be displaced as well, and I have to duck the Creditors calls as I cannot pay with very little money coming in, I keep hoping something is going to turn around, but the more I look at the news the more worried I become. He needs to infuse some money into the homes of the displaced workers instead of the companies that lay off more, and more people on a daily basis, it is their greed that put us in the shape we are in in the first place.
Healthcare is another issue high on his agenda, but insurance company regulation of the prices has failed, even though it has been in existence for many years. Between DRG’s and HMO’s the hospitals have been scrambling to find ways to care for the patients, and get reimbursed a fair amount to keep themselves in business. Most hospitals have resolved this issue by merging with others to form a larger company allowing it to absorb the losses better. I know there are millions of Americans uninsured but Socialized medicine will not make thing s better, as the countries that have it have found in many cases it was better to bring their sick relative to the United States to get care then to stay in their own country, and watch them die. If socialized medicine does not work there, what makes you think it will here? But, President Obama is pushing for it, and at the same time he it cuddling up close to countries that up until now have been our enemies, all in the name of the “New World Order,” well keep your eyes open, and get your heart ready because when they start applying marks or chips in your bodies to purchase food look towards the heavens because the One who can fix this will be on His way, and He is, “ the Alpha, and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:13, NIV). I am not saying the president is the antichrist, I am only warning you to stay ready because they are now rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem.
So what do I say? “Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:20-21, NKJV)

The Term "New World Order" Should Energize All Christians To Witnessing

Between the rise in disbelief, and the rise in the number of families who can no longer afford to put food on the table, let alone pay their bills, people are looking for change, but are they looking in the wrong direction? Instead of turning to God, and faith in Jesus Christ; as they did in the past, they are looking to the politicians to save this world. So, who do they think got them into this mess in the first place? It wasn't God, but the powers and authorities of this world, as Paul said in Romans. Did he know then what his words would mean to us now living in this world of great technological advance, and greed? The me generation. No, because he didn’t realize that Christ was going to wait so long to come back. He believed Christ would be back any time then. But here we are over two-thousand years later still waiting, and people are beginning to believe in all of this technology that man has created, and less in God. So they have traded the only hope for this world, for the powers that be in this world, and every time something bad happens they remember God, and have the nerve to curse Him, and ask why He has done this to them?

This rapid advance in technology has given man the idea that he can do anything on his own, he doesn't need to believe in God, he believes in me, myself, and I. I spoke with a very nice, polite young man recently about his beliefs, and I have to admit I have become very bold lately, as I simply looked him in the eye and asked him if he believed in God? Not like a maniac or nothing, but very nicely I asked if he believed. He of course said no to my disappointment, and I immediately launched into the story of why I believe, and how I have seen God at work, sometimes immediately in my life. I am not foolish enough to think that because of my stories that he was going to immediately drop to his knees, and say, "Nadine you're right there is a God out there." But I keep hoping, tee-hee. Yet I know why he doesn't believe, because the story of his childhood is sad as well. When your father commits suicide in your junior year in high school after he finds out his wife is having an affair. Then his mother ejects both him and his sister from their home as soon as they get out of high school, why should he believe in what I say about a loving God? After all he knows the story of my childhood, and I am not going to even try to tell you that my husband and I have been the perfect parents. We have our own crosses to bear, but we have attempted to raise our children in the church, and with a strong belief in God. Someday I will let you know if we succeeded. It seems we are instilling less hope in the lives of our children, and more pain as when we are parents like his: and mine, we give them no hope in family let alone God.

So what is the answer, do we give up, and say' "Oh well, their loss?" No of course not. We continue to witness and plant the seed as God, and Jesus have instructed us to do, because love will win out in the end, I have to believe this. Jesus did, as he instructed us "to love one another as I have loved you." (John 13:34). God did not ask us for miracles, He is in the business of miracles; we just need to continue to witness to others, and reach out to those in need with Christian love.

As Christians who know the truth we need to give them something else to look towards, we need to tell them the truth about their Creator, and His great love for all mankind. If we don't we are not only failing our brother, but our Savior as well, and I don't know about you but I think I have enough to answer for without adding this to the scale. So the "New World Order" for us is the same as it was when Jesus left the disciples standing and gazing at the sky after He had been taken up to the Father, we are to reach out into this world with love, and I am not going to say it is going to be easy, but I would rather try, and fail, then fail to try.
God Bless, until the next time, your sister in Christ Nadine

All Christians Need To Rise Up & Witness
I am not simply out to market my book, "The Judgement Line," which releases on 09/08/09, this is extremely important to me but of greater importance is the message contained within the book itself. It calls Christians to action to witness to others in the world who do not, or have not received the good news of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Before our Lord, and Savior left this earth He met with His faithful disciples one last time on the mountain called Olivet there He charged them to,”Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who is not saved will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16, NKJ) Jesus did not say become a Christian and hide it from the world in fact He did say, "For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:38, NKJ)Jesus never intended us to sit in the pew each Sunday listening to the words of the gospel, then hide His words within our sinful hearts, and get up to leave the church never to think of them again until the next Sunday. He never intended us to decide who could, and could not attend our church. What makes us better than anyone else that walks through the door? Certainly not the clothes we wear, the amount of money in our checking account, nor the color of our skin. No matter who it is, or what they have done they should be welcome, and invited to attend our Churches. None of us are any less guilty of sin then the other. Jesus Christ was the only man who walked this earth whose heart contained no evil, no sin. As a matter of fact why do we think we can contain Jesus, and our heavenly Father, within the walls of a church? God is everywhere, and Jesus said. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20, NKJ) My point is we need to be out I the world witnessing to others by word, and deed.If the person next to us grabs their chest and drops to the ground do we look at the way they are dressed first before we try to save their lives? No, we ask them if we can help, and if they are not conscious we attempt to help them either by starting CPR or calling the Rescue squad on our cell phone. So why is it we deny them the news that we are saved through Jesus Christ. Jesus had no requirements of those who came to listen to Him, nor did He refuse to feed or heal them. Even those He knew would go home immediately and forget His kindness, He denied them not. When He healed the ten lepers do you remember how many came back to thank Him? One, how sad is that? But Jesus continued to offer the same love to every individual that approached Him, the same love that He offers to you, and me today. I have to say it, “How awesome!” Jesus still loves me the same today, as He did yesterday, and as He will tomorrow. So why can’t we treat our fellow human beings the same? We can if we offer them the same gift Jesus has offered to us, the gift of grace, and mercy. So what if they don’t act like they are listening. So what if they are strung out on drugs, or dressed in weird or dirty clothing, at least we offered them the same love Jesus offered us. After all where were we when He found us? Don’t remember, think about it then look at the person next to you one more time through the eyes of Jesus, they don’t look so bad do they?Action point: Go and witness to the world, and until next time I wish you God’s love, and blessings.

All In God's Perfect Timing

Weary of the sinful people of this world, and filled with sorrow for what He knew was yet to come, our Lord and Savior walked to the garden upon Mount Olivet one more time, with His disciples at His side. He had tried to warn them, prepare His children for what was to come and yet still they had no idea He was to be God's perfect sacrifice for you, and for me. At the entrance to the garden called Gethsemane he instructed Peter, John and James, the sons of Zebedee to accompany Him while the others were to remain watchful at the gate lest the evil one pass through in an attempt to steal their souls away from Him too. As He ventured further into the garden with His three faithful disciples by His side one last time His spirit was restless, and filled with despair, had he prepared them enough to face His death, and resurrection? Filled with foreboding He instructed the three to shelter themselves with prayer while watching for the evil one to approach, he had already asked for Peter yet Jesus refused to give up on the fragile soul of His faithful friend, no Judas was enough He would not give up another to the sinful master of this world!

He turned and left them to pray, He went only about a stones throw away and falling prostrate upon the ground, He cried out to His Father above, "Abba Father." His cry so mournful filled with the groans of human despair. "Father take this cup away from me if it is Your will, yet not My will let Yours be done." The Father heard His groans of pain and to His Son's side He sent an angel to comfort and strengthen Him, and in utter despair His sweat became like great drops of blood falling upon the garden's ground. He finally managed to control His human side, composed He returned to the three disciples only to find them asleep. Get up he commanded, "Peter could you not wait, and pray with Me in this time of my great despair?" The three disciples shamefully apoligized. But, Jesus hearing the approach of the Sanhedrin guard led by Judas, turned to face the multitude. Judas came to him and with a kiss our Lord, and Savior was betrayed, handed over to the high priest to be tried, convicted and crucified upon the cross at Calvary. Then three days later He rose again in His glorified body and He revealed Himself to be a King, the greatest of them all for He is Jesus, our Savior and Sacrificial lamb, and some-day soon in the clouds He will return for you, and for me, if we only believe. Reborn through the blood of His great sacrifice we shall follow Him into eternity, praise God the Father, and all glory to Him for saving our souls from eternal torment. God always had a plan so we will join the chorus in heaven shouting halleluiah, and Amen.
